Welcome to Campfire is a multidisciplinary story-making platform creating immersive worlds through dance, theater, film, and live performance.

Rooted in movement and physical storytelling, Campfire makes work about human intimacy, vulnerability, desire, and connection—often placing human stories inside heightened, or dystopian worlds.

Founded in 2017 by Tony Bordonaro and Ingrid Kapteyn, Welcome to Campfire has created original danceplays, films, and immersive experiences across Shanghai, New York City, Chicago, and London. Its work has been featured in Dance Magazine, TimeOut Shanghai, TimeOut New York, Playbill, TodayTix, Medium, and No Proscenium.

The films The Pigeon & The Mouse and Subject are available to stream globally on Broadway On Demand and the Emmys® OTT platform. The Pigeon & The Mouse was a 2023 OFFIE (The OffWestEnd Theatre Awards) Nominee following its presentation at The Space Theatre in London.

The company has developed work in residence at Baryshnikov Arts Center, The Mercury Store, Springboard Dance, and the New Directions Choreography Lab at The Ailey School; received support from City Artist Corps and Dance in Sacred Places; and partnered with The Moinian Group, The Real Estate Board of New York, Callahan Real Estate, Emursive, TRAVERSE32, Theaterlab, The National Performing Arts Funding Exchange, Manhattan Plaza, and The Empty Circle Gallery to present bespoke events.
